AZOLLA VISUAL IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT
DISCOVERY MATERIALS
- Azolla is the brain child of Thierry Lemaitre and James Graham. One from Paris, the other Bristol, UK, they converse mainly in musical terms. They’ve been developing this skill for over 10 years, whilst touring with the inimitable soul frontman Wolfgang Valbrun. After realising the power of their creativity as a duo, the two bonded over a likeness for all things Afro-jazz, psychedelic and soulful; concocting Arabic infused string arrangements and learning how to play the dulcimer. They eventually found themselves in a studio with a blank canvas - and thus Azolla was born.

③ Early Cover Art Explorations
EARLY MATERIALS
- These are EARLY explorations to stimulate conversation, not even close to what final art would look like, these are digital sketches and explorations of how imagery, color and visual elements interact to create a mood and vibe for the AZOLLA ID.
